christie + peter // seattle backyard wedding photography

I had an opportunity to spend the day with Christie and Peter for their intimate backyard wedding near Seattle. They were so amazing to work with! We started out the day at Clark Lake in Kent for their first look and bridal photos. The weather was absolutely perfect and provided some amazing light. We drove back to their new house for the ceremony. Their family and friends had all come to celebrate them. The ceremony was beautifully done in their backyard which did I mention has a pool!! They had other friends and family streamed in on their computer so they could still be a part of the day. Although super windy the table details and dinner in their backyard was amazing. I’ve really been enjoying intimate wedding photography as the pace is a little slower. I hope to do more in the future!

matlock family // waverly park kirkland family photos

Met up with the Matlock family for their family photos at Waverly Park in Kirkland. They have two cute kids that at first were a little unsure about doing family photos. Their daughter wasn’t too excited which her mother warned me might happen. I’m used to kids not wanting to do photos and I have several tricks and things I like to do to help the kids relax and enjoy the session. It took a little bit but she eventually warmed up to me and we had a great time with their photos. She was laughing and smiling for most of the session. Such a cute family and what a fun park to do family photos along the waterfront. I had never done photos at Waverly Park….it was perfect for family photos! Love being a family photographer in Seattle where we have so many fun unique places to do photos!
